Vanadium aminophenolates in catechol oxidation: conformity with Finke's common catalyst hypothesis

Abstract
Six aminophenolate V-complexes were evaluated in 3,5-DTBC oxidation. All complexes are converted via H2O2 assisted leaching to catalytically active catecholate complexes, with a characteristic EPR spectrum, obeying Finke's common catalyst hypothesis.
