Abstract
Tunable acidic mixed-metal double salt ionic liquids (DSILs), [HN222]2x[(1 − x)AlCl3 + xZnCl4], were prepared by mixing [HN222]2[ZnCl4] with AlCl3, and found to have unique and controllable catalytic activities.
