Abstract

Ordered arrays of straight, parallel SnO₂ nanotubes are prepared by atomic layer deposition (ALD) on inert ‘anodic’ alumina porous membranes serving as templates. The tunable geometry yields exceptional capacity retention after hundreds of cycles.
