Abstract

Rhodium(i) alkene complexes of an NNN-pincer ligand catalyze the hydrogenation of alkenes. The terminal or resting state of the catalyst, which exhibits an unusually upfield Rh–hydride ¹H NMR chemical shift, has been identified.
