Abstract
Two BODIPY (4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene) moieties were chemically appended to the 4,7-positions of 1,10-phenanhtroline for sensitizing near-infrared emission of ytterbium(iii) ion.
