Abstract

V₂O₅ nanoneedles were directly synthesised by a facile physical vapour deposition approach. A V₂O₅ nanoneedle gas sensor exhibited high reproducible sensing response towards acetone at room temperature with a good selective behavior, explained based on the energy band model.
