Abstract

A fluorescent dinuclear zinc(ii) metal complex has been established as a rare example of a fluorescent chemodosimeter in aqueous media for the specific recognition of 2,4-dinitrophenol and 2,4,6-trinitrophenol among various nitro compounds.
