Abstract

Mono- and dinuclear Pt^II complexes with tartrate (tartH₂²⁻) [Pt(bpy)(tartH₂)] and [{Pt(bpy)}₂(μ-tart)], respectively, in crystals exhibited an emission color controlled by intra- and inter-molecular Pt–Pt and/or π–π interactions.
