Abstract

Intense green-emitting LiYF₄:Ce,Tb tetragonal bipyramidal nanophosphors are synthesized and the composition is applied to bright dual-mode-emitting core/double-shell nanophosphors with a tetragonal bipyramidal morphology. The core/double-shell structure is directly confirmed by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy.
