Abstract
Al3+ substitution for Mn4+/Mn3+ into the Ca0.66Mn2O4 1D tunnel network leads to the stabilization of an orthorhombic unit cell (SG: Pnma) with two different Mn sites attributed mainly to Mn4+ and Mn3+ respectively.
