Abstract

K0.75Na0.25IrO2 crystallizes in a triangular lattice with edge-sharing IrO6 octahedra and [IrO2]− layers, shows intrinsic in-gap states, nearly-free-electron feature, enhanced band-convergence under uniaxial strain and promising application prospect.
