Abstract

Alkoxylated isobenzofuranones were synthesized mediated by PhI(OR)₂, generated in situ from the reaction of PhIO with alkyl alcohols. This one-pot transformation was postulated to involve lactonization, 1,2-aryl migration and alkoxylation processes.
