Abstract

An Allyl ether-Rhodamine probe emits yellow light (557 nm) in presence of Cr3+only with detection limit 33 nM from mixture of other cations and Cr(vi) in water-CH3CN medium at pH 7. Imaging of Cr3+species in living cells under physiological conditions is achieved.
