Abstract

In this work, a mechanism of electron trapping induced electrostatic adsorption of electrolyte cations (ETIEA) is proposed to explain the general photoactivity decay of nanostructured TiO₂ electrodes, usually occurring during the initial several minutes of photoelectrochemical (PEC) processes.
