Abstract

In water with methanol (MeOH) as hole scavenger, the loading of CoOx cocatalysts can facilitate the transfer of holes from Bi2WO6 (BWO) to CoOx, which are then quickly consumed by MeOH, resulting in the boosted piezocatalytic HER efficiency.
