Abstract

ZrO2 served as an “anchor” to prevent MgH2 particles from rapid growth, and Mn3O4 reacted with Mg to form MgO and Mn. The generated Mn served as a hydrogen “pump” to enhance MgH2 sorption properties during cycling.
