Abstract

Borylenes of the form (CAAC)(NHC)BY (Y = CN, NCS; CAAC = cyclic alkyl(amino)carbene; NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene) coordinate to group 6 carbonyl complexes via Y, and show reversible boron-centered Brønsted basicity and one-electron oxidation.
