Abstract

Upon 1560 nm excitation, higher energy levels of Er³⁺ ions are populated. FRET and photons reabsorption to occur from NaYF₄:Yb,Er to CdSe. Then activated CdSe produces electrons and holes in the conduction band and the valence band, respectively.
