Abstract

The reaction of phosphaalkynes RCP (R = tBu, Me, iPr) with an excess of Co2(CO)8 and Fe2(CO)9 leads to unpredictable fragmentations of the CP triple bond with subsequent formation of novel Co and Fe clusters.
