Abstract

A new unprecedented dithiaphlorin macrocycle containing pyrrole and aryl groups at the sp³meso carbon was obtained from the condensation of 2,5-bis(p-arylhydroxymethyl)thiophene and pyrrole under mild acidic conditions.
