Abstract

Hexanuclear molybdenum-based discrete clusters can be regarded as crown ether-like metallacycles. The embedding of different amounts of Na+ results in different sizes of the intrinsic holes. Theoretical calculations give the binding order influenced by Na+/triazole−.
