Abstract

CuO/SiO2 catalysts with copper-phyllosilicate structures contribute to the formation of active and stable Cu2C2 complexes due to the strong interaction between CuO and SiO2 and thus exhibit high ethynylation activity and stability for 1,4-butynediol.
