Abstract

A novel ion-responsive photonic hydrogel sensor based on the poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-benzo-18-crown-6-acrylamide) hydrogel with fixed Fe3O4 CNC chains has been developed for the highly-selective, portable, visual detection and removal of Pb2+ in water.
