Abstract

Reduction of a bis(amidodimethyl)disiloxane Mg(ii) compound affords a mixture of N,N- and N,O-chelated Mg(i) species. Reactivity with RNCNR and CO demonstrate reducing behaviour, with the products showing a combination of ligands at magnesium.
