Abstract

Reduction of LPhSnCl with 0.66 eq. of LiB^sBu₃H affords the mixed-valent homocatenated tri-tin complex (LPhSn)3Cl whose HOMO primarily comprises σ-bonding along the Sn–Sn–Sn framework.
