Abstract
CuCl2·2H2O reacts with 5-(pyridine-2-ylmethylene)-thiohydantoin derivatives (L) in reducing solvent-forming compounds with a composition of CuII(L)Cl2, CuI(L)Cl, and (L + H)+CuICl2−.
