Abstract

The first d¹⁰-transition metal iodate fluoride, centrosymmetric ZnIO₃F, was successfully transformed into noncentrosymmetric CdIO₃F, resulting from the asymmetric nature of the [IO₃]⁻ groups by the substitution of Zn²⁺ with Cd²⁺.
