Abstract

The use of a ligand to tune palladium-catalyzed intramolecular Heck gem-difluorovinylation and carboxylation is reported. Sodium difluorochloroacetate (ClCF2COONa) acts as both a difluorocarbene (:CF2) and carboxyl source.
