Abstract
A bio-inspired, self-healing chitosan-5-(benzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)-4-hydroxyisophthalaldehyde (CBTHP) fluorescent hydrogel has been developed which exhibits ultrafast ESIPT in both gel and solution phase.
