Abstract

A co-solvent-free hydrolytic polycondensation of mono- and dimethylmethoxysilanes at high H2O/Si ratios (≳10) gave methylsilsesquioxane-rich (80 mol%) liquids heat-curable to stiff, tough, and deep-UV transparent resins showing full elastic recovery.
