Abstract

Two ionic Pt(iv) complexes containing mesylate as prodrugs for cisplatin and oxaliplatin, have improved water-solubility and water-stability, and one exhibits significantly higher in vitro and in vivo antitumour activity than that of its prototype drug oxaliplatin.
