Abstract

Our analysis of monitoring data and simulations showed that particulate nitrate is a major contributor to PM pollution in Seoul. NO2 emitted from China travelled across the Yellow Sea and transformed into HNO3 during the night, resulting in a substantial formation of particulate nitrates in Seoul.
