Abstract

Pd(ii) assisted P–C/Pd–C bond metathesis was observed in the reaction of amide based bisphoshine (Bala-HariPhos). The cleavage of P–Ph with the elimination of PhH to form a new P–N bond, resulting in a 1,2-azaphospholene ring.
