Abstract

Sulfonimidyl radicals generated from the electrolysis of 2-alkynylbenzenesulfonamides undergo cascade migratory or ortho-cyclization cyclization selectively, through a spirocyclic cation intermediate, toward the facile preparation of polycyclic heterocycles of promising antibacterial activity.
