Abstract

We investigated the lattice dynamics of three representatives, BaMgSi, Ba₂Mg₃Si₄, and BaMg₂Si₂, to identify the inherent bonding hierarchy and rattling Ba atoms that are responsible for reducing lattice thermal conductivity.
