Abstract

[Cu(O2C–CH2–NH2)2]Pb2Br4 is a new semiconductor with a novel 2D layered crystal structure featuring intercalated Cu(ii) in between the inorganic layers. [Cu(O2C–CH2–NH2)2]Pb2Br4 is a candidate for semiconductor X-ray detector applications.
