Abstract

The coordination polymers of Cu(ii) and Zn(ii) have been synthesized. Simultaneously, the selective in situ Br–Cl exchange mechanism, structures, magnetic properties, and the fluorescence lifetimes of complexes 1–2 are discussed in detail.
