Abstract

An organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite Trimethylchloromethylammonium chromium(ii) chloride (TMCM–CrCl₃) can simultaneously show excellent ferroelectricity and antiferromagnetism, which is the first experimentally confirmed Cr²⁺-based multiferroic material.
