Abstract

Ru nanoparticles/oxygen-deficient TiO₂@carbon nanocomposites are efficiently fabricated via one-pot pyrolysis. TiO₂-V_O and carbon narrow the band gap, optimize ΔG_H2O and ΔG_H* and synergistically boost the activity of Ru for the alkaline HER.
