Abstract

Selective crystallization of tetragonal and monoclinic LaVO₄:Eu as nanosquares and nanorods was achieved with malate as a new type of chelate, and the ⁵D₀ level of Eu³⁺ has a quantum efficiency of ∼80% for the t-phase and ∼70% for the m-phase.
