Abstract
Spectroscopy is the study of the interaction between matter and electromagnetic radiation. Terms in this chapter are limited to three basic forms of spectroscopy used in analytical chemistry namely, nuclear magnetic resonance, vibrational spectroscopy and atomic spectroscopy.
