Abstract
This project presents the modification and analysis of two biodegradable stent designs based on an existing design. The modifications were made using SolidWorks, followed by ANSYS analysis to evaluate von Mises stress and strain, stress intensity, maximum principle stress, and total deformation. Design Expert was then utilized, employing the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) Box-Behnken method, to conclude the design. The generated ANOVA table enabled the identification of significant factors and interactions. Residual analysis was conducted to assess the model's fit and accuracy. The abstract highlights the iterative design process involving SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Design Expert, emphasizing the use of ANOVA and residual analysis to improve the stent design. The optimized stent designs exhibited improvements in stress distribution, strain, stress intensity, and deformation characteristics. This integrated approach utilizing SolidWorks, ANSYS, and Design Expert holds promise for enhancing stent performance and optimizing patient outcomes.
