Abstract
Lichen planus is a dermatological condition with challenging symptoms. Conventional treatments often have limitations. This case report explores the successful Ayurvedic management of hypertrophic lichen planus in a 19-
year-old male patient. The treatment involved Purgation (Virechana), oral Ayurvedic medicines, and therapeutic
phlebotomy (Raktamokshana). The patient experienced significant relief from symptoms, illustrating the potential
of Ayurveda in addressing complex dermatological conditions.
