Abstract
The article is devoted to the management of the Arctic zone of Russia sustainable development. The paper focuses on the special role of the Arctic zone in the country's economy. The authors note that mining industries prevail in the structure of the gross regional product (GRP) of the Arctic zone of Russia, agriculture occupies an insignificant share (less than 3 percent on average). Reasons: climatic conditions, lack of investment. In the region, investments are unevenly distributed: mining occupies about 20% of all investments, while agriculture accounts for only 4%.
