RELATIONAL-TRANSDUCTIVE THINKING AS AN ASPECT OF THINKING-WITH-COMPLEXITY: THE EXPERIENCE OF COGNITIVE IMMERSION

Abstract

This article focuses on justifying the concept of “relational-transductive thinking” as one of the aspects of the “thinking-with-complexity” strategy developed by one of the authors of this article, which takes into account uncertainty and pluralism, while avoiding reductionist approaches. The very phrase “relational-transductive thinking” goes back to the philosophical concept of Gilbert Simondon, although traces of such thinking, in our opinion, can be found both in metaphysical studies and in natural science, as well as in humanitarian research. At the same time, an attempt is made to transdisciplinary understanding of that, at first glance, heterogeneous complex of concepts, which becomes their assembly in the image of a transdisciplinary Subject as a bearer of an integral metaconcept, referred to by the authors as relational-transductive thinkingtogether with complexity. In the logic of this thinking, or more precisely in the quality of its application, two key paradigms are comprehended; the first is the complexity paradigm of E. Morin and the second is the NBIC-convergence paradigm.
