Abstract
In the title salt, C8H7N2
+·C7H5O4
−, one of the quinoxaline N atoms is protonated. The cation and anion are nearly coplanar and are connected into a cyclic R
2
2(7) motif generated by N—H...O and C—H...O hydrogen bonds. The hydrogen-bonded ionic pairs are arranged into double stacks, in which quinoxalinium and 2,6-dihydroxybenzoate ions alternate.
