Abstract

In the title complex, [ZnBr2(C12H9FN2)], the ZnIIatom has a distorted tetrahedral Br2N2coordination sphere. The organic ligand is bidentate, coordinating the ZnIIatomviatwo imine N atoms. The benzene and pyridine rings are oriented at a dihedral angle of 10.49 (1)°. In the crystal, weak C—H...F and C—H...Br hydrogen bonds are observed.
