Abstract
In this paper, we discuss a case 78-year-old female with black tarry stool and a hemoglobin of 6.1 who presented to a gastroenterology clinic. What is makes this case interesting is that this patient had an upper and lower endoscopy done, which showed no sources of bleeding. A deep bowel enteroscopy had to be done and only showed some minor small ulcers in the small intestine. She was treated with blood transfusions, followed by iron infusions to treat her iron deficiency anemia.
