Abstract

AbstractThe error caused by pseudo-midpoint effect in the use of the Moody chart was analyzed. The pseudo-midpoint effect appears in the linear interpolation method usually used to read the Moody chart. The maximum of the error is about 4%, which is significantly lower than the 15% accuracy of the chart in the literature.
