Abstract
Objective: To describe ‘auspsyc’, an email discussion list for psychiatrists, psychiatry trainees and psychiatry medical officers in Australia and New Zealand. Conclusions: auspsyc provides free, open and timely communication about matters of professional concern. A variety of issues have been covered by members since its inception. Guidelines have been developed to ensure that the email discussion list functions efficiently and that ‘netiquette’ is observed.
